U.S. Delegation Arrives in Ciudad Trujillo to Sign Colonization Pact

A delegation of Americans, headed by James N. Rosenberg, arrived here today on the steamship Coamo to participate in ceremonies attendant on the signing of a contract between the Dominican Republic and the Dominican Republic Settlement Corporation for the settlement of German refugees.

The delegation was welcomed by representatives of the Government and the American legation. Mr. Rosenberg, president of the Corporation, conferred on board with Dr. Joseph Rosen, vice-president, who has been in the Dominican Republic with a staff of technicians to prepare the way for the refugee colony. The delegation include Harold Linder, an officer of the corporation; Robert T. Pell, of the State Department and Stephen Morris, secretary of the Intergovernmental Committee on Refugees. They were accompanied by Andres Pastoriza, Dominican Minister to the United States, and Don Carlos Davila, former President of Chile.
