An appeal for funds to aid the work of the Hebrew Institute of Technology in Haifa was voiced last night by Prof. Albert Einstein, speaking at a dinner given in his honor by the newly-formed American Society for the Advancement of the Institute, at the Hotel Commodore. He said Palestine was a haven for the conservation of the culture and productive capacities of Jews from European centers of persecution.
