The Agudath Israel, orthodox religious organization, announced today receipt of a cable from its American affiliate undertaking to accommodate 10,000 child evacuees. At the same time the Montreal Council of Rabbis cabled the Agudath that it is prepared to accommodate all the Jewish children that can be sent to Canada.

The organization said it was registering Jewish children to be evacuated under the Government scheme and was also negotiating with the Government for inclusion in the evacuation plan of Jewish children among Dutch, Belgian, French, Polish and Czech refugees. Children of German-Jewish refugees resident in England have been excluded from the plan, according to an announcement in Commons Tuesday.
