Red Cross Seeks to Aid Refugees in Unoccupied France

The Red Cross is negotiating with the German Government for permission to transport the cargo of the mercy ship McKeesport to the unoccupied portion of France, where several million refugees are in appalling need, it was announced today. A “large percentage” of the homeless refugees in central France are Jews, Red Cross headquarters said.
