A thousand more Jewish families are to become members of the collective farms of Biro-Bidjan in the course of this year, it was revealed by M. Sucharev, Secretary of the Jewish autonomous region, speaking at a Moscow press conference, according to reports in the Soviet press.
Plans for the development of the Region, Sucharev added, also include the establishment during this year of four new settlements.
