Portsmouth Synagogue Set Afire by Bomb

A synagogue in the Portsmouth area was set afire during a recent air raid, it was disclosed today.

Meanwhile, 40 bombed-out East Enders, who have been staying for a half-year at the home of Lord Redesdale, father of Unity Mitford, will for the most part be transferred shortly to another and larger house. No reason was given for the transfer. The evacuees were unanimous in praising the friendliness and helpfulness of their hosts.
