Archbishop Backs Aid to Polish Jews

The Archbishop of Canterbury today issued a message supporting Lord Cecil’s appeal for Polish Jewish refugees in Palestine. He voiced “greatest possible sympathy with Jewish refugees in Palestine, knowing well the treatment they have received in Poland.” Similar messages were received from Cardinal Hinsler, Laslie Hore-Belisha, Tom Williams, Sir Patrick Hannon and others.
