Chief Rabbi Joseph Hertz in a message today in connection with the proclamation of September 7 as a National Day of Prayer, marking the second anniversary of the war, declared that the Jews of England pray for strength and guidance in the coming struggle.

“None realize more clearly than her Jewish children that on Britain’s victory over the forces of evil now assailing free nations depends the future of civilization as well as the survival of Israel in Europe and elsewhere,” Rabbi Hertz’ message states.
