Myron C. Taylor, President Roosevelt’s representative at the Vatican and Vice President of the inter-governmental Committee for Refugees, conferred here today with Dr. James Bernstein and Eli Dijour, European Director and General Secretary, respectively, of the HIAS-ICA Emigration Association.

Mr. Taylor discussed emigration problems with the two refugees relief officials just prior to flying to London to confer with American Ambassador John G. Winant on various problems including refugee immigration into the United States.

The Canadian Government has granted thirty-five immigration visas for Czechoslovakian refugees now in Portugal. The visas are now being distributed by the Czechoslovak authorities here to the refugees, most of whom are Jewish.
