More than a hundred Jewish refugees, bound for Palestine from Poland, find themselves stranded here as a result of the refusal of the Iraq government to grant them transit visas. The group, which is attempting to obtain British permission to go by way of the Suez Canal, is being cared for by the Polish Consulate, which has found accommodations for all at the American YMCA building.
