Jewish Academicians Appointed to “scientific Advisory Council” in Palestine

The establishment of a “Scientific Advisory Council” to facilitate acceleration of the British war effort in Palestine was officially announced here today.

The Council, which will work in close cooperation with the Palestine government, will be headed by Dr. Judah Magnes, who has been appointed president, and will have Prof. I.J. Kligler of the Hebrew University as secretary. It will consist of representatives from the Hebrew University, the Haifa technical high school and the Agricultural and Daniel Sieff Institutes at Rehovoth.
