The Menasha Synagogue in Alexandria, one of the principal synagogues in the city, has been razed by Axis bombings, it was reported here today. The building was remote from any military objectives.

All that remains of the synagogue is the wall against which the Ark of the Tabernacle stood. The Torahs inside the Ark miraculously escaped destruction.
