Hoping eventually to be admitted into Russia as a representative of the Jewish Agency, Elihau Dobkin, head of the Zionist immigration department, today left Palestine for Teheran to organize relief there for the approximately 800 Polish Jews stranded in Iran on their way from Russia to Palestine.

The Palestine Government today appointed Eric Mills, chief of the Immigration Department, to the post of controller of man-power in Palestine. It also started a campaign for the sale of Palestine War Bonds similar to those issued by the U.S. Treasury. The proceeds will be lent to the British Government as a sterling loan. Each bond costs fifteen shillings and will be redeemable in ten years at twenty-and-a-half shillings.
