Polish circles here today learned of an offer made by Nazi leaders in Poland to leaders of anti-Semitic Polish groups, suggesting that the latter cooperate with the Nazi administration in “driving out all the Jews from Poland.”
In exchange, the Nazi leaders expressed their readiness to permit the “cooperating elements” in Poland to take over what Jewish property the Nazis did not want for themselves.
“The common work of liquidating the Polish Jews constitutes a field in which Polish-German relations could prosper,” Nazi spokesmen are reported to have stated when making the offer. The Polish circles here emphasize, however, that they do not know of a single case a Pole accepting the Nazi offer.
