3,063 Persons Aided by Guild for Jewish Blind in 1942

The New York Guild for the Jewish Blind last year spent $522,567 to aid 3,063 blind persons of all faiths, according to its annual report made public yesterday. The expenditure represented an increase of $99,963 over 1941 and resulted in a deficit of $11,795.

The organization, which was founded in 1914, maintains sheltered workshops and a community center and aids the blind in their own homes through its social service department. The workshops and community center are operated on non-sectarian lines.
