Jewish Delegation from Russia Arrives in Washington; First in Twenty Years

The first Jewish delegation from Russia to reach this country in the last twenty years arrived here today. It is composed of Solomon Mikhoels, president of the Jewish Anti-Fascist Committee, who is the most famous Jewish actor in the U.S.S.R., and Itzik Feffer, noted Jewish poet. Both are holders of high Soviet decorations.

The two delegates will address Jewish gatherings throughout the United States on the position of the Jews in the U.S.S.R., including the Jews evacuated into the Soviet interior from the Nazi-held Ukraine, White-Russia, Crimea and the part of Poland which was held by the Russian Army prior to the Nazi invasion, They will remain in Washington for several days.
