The Histadruth, the Palestine Federation of Labor, today addressed a strongly-worded communication to Palestine High Commissioner Sir Harold Machichael, protesting against the references to “Nazi-like discipline” in the Histadruth made by Major Baxter, the prosecutor in the recently concluded arms trial. The protest pointed to the contribution members of the labor body have made to the Allied war effort and to the restraint they have exercised over a period of years during which numerous Jews were attacked and killed. The Histadruth requested that Sir Harold forward its communication to the Colonial Office in London.
