A special subcommittee of the House of Representatives yesterday approved a bill to bar hate literature from the mails. The bill gives the Postmaster General power to decide what constitutes objectional material. It provides a fine of $1,000 and a year in jail for sending through the mails material tending to arouse hatred against any individual or group.
