The executive committee of the Jewish National Council today cabled to Russian Foreign Commissar Molotov, urging him to ascertain the fate of the Jews in the German-occupied sections of the USSR which have recently been recaptured by the Red Army.
The Palestine press today hails the announcement that a Russian consulate is to be established here. The consulate, it says, will help to foster and cement economic and cultural relations between the people of the two countries.
