A group of Chassidic “wonder rabbis,” several of whom reached Palestine after fleeing Nazi-occupied territory, today appealed to the American War Refugee Board, the American Jewish press and the Jewish community in the United States to speed their efforts to save the remnants of European Jewry.

After a meeting with Chief Rabbis Isaac Herzog and Ben-Zion Uziel the rabbis adopted a resolution asking that the Allied countries open their gates to refugees and that free Jewish immigration to Palestine be allowed.
