Greater Possibilities for Rescue Action Indicated by Shertok; Leaves for London

The existence of wider possibilities for rescue of Jews from occupied countries was indicated here today by Moshe Shertok, head of the political department of the Jewish Agency, upon leaving for London. His trip, which follows his return from Cairo, is connected chiefly with rescue plans.

The postponement of the elections for the Assefath Hanivcharim, the Jewish National Assembly of Palestine, was officially announced here today by the Jewish National Council. The elections will be held on August 1. The postponement was caused by technical reasons.
