Jewish students who completed studies in foreign universities and colleges after they were barred from attending Italian institutions will receive full credit for all courses completed, under an order issued by Education Minister Guido de Ruggiero.
The order covers all studies after 1938, the year in which the racial law went into effect, and includes recognition, of courses in pontifical institutes and Hebrew schools in Rome and Milan as well as foreign universities.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
