J.D.C. Representative May Soon Be Admitted to Liberated Poland As an Observer

A representative of the Joint Distribution Committee may soon be permitted to go to liberated Poland as an observer and to cooperate with the Jewish Relief Committee in Lublin, it was indicated here today following the return to Jerusalem of Charles Passman, J.D.C. representative in the Middle East.

Mr. Passman returned here from Teheran, where he completed arrangements for the sending of the first large relief transport to Poland. The shipment, consisting of food, winter clothing and medicine, will be distributed by the Jewish Relief Committee, which is headed by Dr. Emil Sommerstein.
