The first convention of representatives of Zionist organizations in all Latin-American countries will open here on March 10, with more than 200 delegates in attendance, it was announced here today. The convention will be addressed by Zionist leaders from Palestine and the United States who are expected to arrive here next month.
The convention was called on the initiative of Dr. Chaim Weizmann, president of the Jewish Agency for Palestine. The gathering is expected to form a central body to coordinate Zionist efforts throughout Latin America, and to intensify fundraising for the Keren Hayesed and the Jewish National Fund.
