A vitriolic attack on Jews and Negroes was made today by Senator Theodore Bilbo of Mississippi in a three-hour filibuster against FEPC appropriations, during which he warned of a “revolution in this country” if the bill for the establishment of a Permanent Fair Employment Practice Commission is passed.

Sen. Bilbo read a statement prepared by Rep. John Rankin, also of Mississippi, and one of the bitterest opponents of the FEPC, listing FEPC employees as Jews, “niggers” and “white Gentiles.” Emphasizing that population figures show a proportion of twenty Gentiles to every Jew in America. Bilbo denounced the FEPC for allegedly compelling different reces to live and work side by side.
