The millions of Jews who were murdered during the war by the Germans and the tens of thousands who fell in battle were commemorated here this afternoon at special services on the eve of Yom Kippur, held in a large hall in the Hotel Continental.

The audience also gave thanks for their deliverance and decided that November 10 would be proclaimed an annual day of mourning and prayer to mark the destruction of synagogues and holy places throughout Germany and Austria in the nation-wide pogram carried out by the Nazis on that day in 1938. The meeting pledged its loyalty to the Austrian Provisional Government.
