Abrogation of the British White Paper and free immigration of Jews into Palestine were stressed by the Agudas Israel delegation which called on Secretary of State Byrnes yesterday. The memorandum submitted by the delegation to the Secretary is reported to have included the following demands:

1. Maintenance and honest interpretation of the Balfour Declaration. 2- Transfermation of the British Mandate – if the British consent – into an Anglo-American trusteeship of Palestine. 3– Immediate cancellation of the White Paper. 4– Free immigration of Jews into Palestine, in accordance with the absorptive capacity of the country; “this capacity, however, to be fully exploited and expanded by the economic and spiritual cooperation of the whole of Jewry interested in the Holy Land.”
