A Jewish restaurant was attacked and two Jews wounded today by a band of 50 pro-Peron hoodlums. The followers of Argentina’s strong man smashed the restaurant’s windows before they were dispersed by a crowd of Jews.

Earlier, DAIA, central body of Argentine Jewry, had sent a memorandum to all political parties asking them to demand a ban on anti-Semitism. The attack on the restaurant was not the first assault on Jews and Jewish enterprises in recent months.
