The Jewish National Council of Palestine. official representative body of the Jewish community, warned the British Government today that all the “moral and practical” might of the Jews will be used to resist attempts to prevent the development of a Jewish national homeland here.

A PLONARY SESSION OF THE COUNCIL ADOPTED THE FOLLOWING SERIES OF RESOLUTIONS:

“1 – There is no need to seek new ways to defend Jewish immigration, colonization and the right to self-defense; but new ways have to be found to prove to England that the Yishuv will oppose with its full moral and practical might, attempts to present its efforts to save the remnants of European Jewry, and attempts to condemn the Jewish nation to eternal dispersion.

“2 – The Jewish people’s resistance cannot be conditioned by government-made laws, or government consent, because the Yishuv does not recognize the moral legality of laws preventing the resoue of those exposed to death and starvation.

“3 – The Palestine Government and the British Government should indeed feel Jewish resistance.

“4 – The Yishuv’s and the Jewish nation’s publicity should be adjusted to new eircumstances and conditions created by the British Government’s recent policy.”

The resolutions concluded with an appeal to all groups and factions to rally around the council for an active political struggle, and called for closer cooperation between the council and the Jewish Agency.
