President Truman today received Judge Joseph C. Hutcheson, American chairman of the joint Anglo-American Commission on Palestine, and conferred with him for fifteen minutes.

After leaving the White House, Judge Hutcheson told newspapermen that he hoped to complete preliminary organization of the American group this week. He said that several persons had already been engaged for the staff, but declined to name them. He declared that there was no indication as to when the American members of the commission would meet with their British colleagues.
