Preparations for the hearings to be held here by the Anglo-American Inquiry Committee were completed today. The hearings will be open to the press and will be held in the YMCA building. Accommodations have been made for 90 newspapermen who are expected to cover the sessions.

Dr. J.L. Magnes will be one of the principal Jewish witnesses at the hearing, it was learned here today. The Jewish Agency executive was informed today that the League for Arab-Jewish Rapprochement will also testify. Prof. Martin Buber and Chaim Kalvarisky have been appointed by the League to prepare its testimony.

The Hashomer Hatzair’s nation-wide conference concluded here during the week-end after adopting a resolution reserving to itself the right to appear independently before the inquiry committee. The conference voted to convert Hatzair into a political party and to increase the group’s political activities abroad.
