An announcement by the British Government concerning its future policy on Palestine is expected within the next two or three weeks, a usually well-informed British source revealed today. Prior to reaching any decision, however, the British will continue consultations with the American Government in the hope of securing agreement from Washington.

Authoritative quarters, at the same time, told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that they were completely unaware of any intention of the Government to withdraw Prime Minister Attlee’s condition that the Jewish self-defense organization in Palestine disband before the 100,000 displaced Jews are admitted, as was reported today in the New York Times from London.
