About 800 Jews are fleeing from Poland daily and the great majority of them are crossing into Czechoslovakia as the first step on the road to Palestine.

This has created a tremendous problem for the Jewish organizations in this country which are overwhelmed by the need to house, feed and otherwise assist the refugees. As a result the Council of Jewish Communities in Bohemia and Moravia today issued an appeal to the Jewish communities of the world to send aid here immediately.
