The officers in charge of the police force at Miskolc, where two Jews were lynched last month, have been removed for dereliction of duty, Minister of the Interior Laszlo Rajk announced today. Several members of the police department have also been dismissed, while others have been transferred, he said.

A convention of the Reformed Free Council of the Protestant Church in Hungary has called upon the clergy to take all possible measures to combat anti-Semitism.
