Emphasizing that he was speaking in behalf of the executive of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, Dr. Nahum Goldmann today issued a statement expressing satisfaction with the call issued by Judge Joseph M. Proskauer, president of the American Jewish Committee, urging support of the Agency in its present negotiations with the British Government.
Dr. Goldmann characterized Judge Proskauer’s statement as a most valuable contribution to the solution of the Palestine issue. “The expression of a spirit of cooperation and solidarity is more necessary today than ever before,” he declared, adding that Judge Proskauer’s attitude will be deeply appreciated by the Agency and all those who want to bring about a constructive solution of the Palestine issue and the realization of Jewish demands in Palestine.
