The 22nd World Zionist Congress will be held in Basle, Switzerland, it was announced here today. The Congress will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first World Zionist Congress which was also held in Basle.

Dr. Fritz Ullman, who has been the technical director of world Zionist congresses for many years, departed yesterday by plane for Switzerland to make the necessary arrangements for the forthcoming sessions.

It was estimated here that 2,500,000 “shekolim” entitling purchasers to vote in the election of delegates to the Congress have already been sold by various national Zionist bodies, with half of them purchased in the United States.
