Jewish circles here are enraged at the failure of the People’s Court to adequately punish Dr. Gyula Simon, the judge who presided over the fascist court which doomed Hanna Szenes, Hungarian Jewish girl who was captured after having been parachuted into Hungary by the British to contact underground forces.

Simon received a one-year sentence, which was suspended under the amnesty decree releasing all persons whose sentences were less than two years.
