The Synagogue Council of America has designated Saturday, Oct. 12, as Agricultural Sabbath in order to attract attention to the contributions of the Jewish farm movement in America, it was announced today by Rabbi Ahron Opher, assistant to the council president. This is the first time in the history of American Jewry that a day of such nature has been proclaimed.
