The American Federation of Labor’s annual convention, just concluded here, today transmitted to President Truman a resolution asking the U.S. Government to press for the transfer of 100,000 Jews from Europe to Palestine.
The resolution refers to the recommendations of the Anglo-American inquiry committee and emphasizes that the immediate admission of 100,000 displaced Jews to Palestine is essential in view of the tragic plight of the Jewish refugees, so many months after the end of the war.
