Lt. Kenneth Gourlay, British officer charged with attacking the policy of the Palestine civil and military authorities, went on trial here today before a court martial. The court rejected a defense motion to dismiss the charges because British law does not recognize group libel. After hearing two witnesses, the proceedings were adjourned until tomorrow.
