The Jewish Community Council of Vienna today received an anonymous letter protesting the arrival of 765 Austrian Jewish repatriates from Shanghai. “Why must the Jews come back to Vienna to take our apartments?” the letter asked. “Far too few Jews were killed in the gas chambers, but we will complete the job.”
