Anti-Semitic demonstrations in support of Josef Tiso, former head of the pro-Nazi puppet Slovak Government, whose trail on war criminal charges ended last week, took place here and at Plestany, about 50 miles northeast of the capital, during the week-end. Tiso’s sentence is not expected until after Easter.

In Kosice, in eastern Slovakia, a number of chalutzim were released from jail yesterday, after being held for a day for chasing two former members of the fasciat Hlinka Guard movement who attacked the headquarters of a Zionist sports group in the city.
