Rumanian newspapers today published articles ?ed at combating anti-Semitic rumors to the effect that despite the need of food drought-stricken areas in the country, Jews have been allotted special rations flour for matzohs during Passover.

Denying these rumors, the Rumanian press points out that no native wheat used for the baking of matzohs, but that, on the contrary, the Joint Distribution committee contributed a large amount of wheat to the government for non-Jews. The ?anian parliament made special mention of the J.D.C. contribution in adopting resolution thanking all foreign countries and organizations which sent food to ?ania to relieve starvation in drought-stricken sections of the country.
