The Bill of Civil Rights, introduced in the Saskatchewan Legislature by Attorney-General J.W. Corman, has already passed its second reading, with all members of the opposition voting with the government. The bill reaffirms fundamental human liberties and provides against discrimination on both racial and religious grounds.
Supporting the resolution, Deputy Delmar Valleau said that concepts of freedom have been contributed to the world by many races. He referred to the contributions to freedom made by the Israelites, Greeks and Romans and Confucius.
