A British naval patrol today intercepted another Jewish refugee ship off the coast of Palestine. It is believed that there are 1,500 men, women and children aboard.
Seamen boarding the vessel encountered no resistance. The 300-ton craft, Mordei Hagetact (Ghetto Fighters), is being escorted into Haifa and should arrive early tomorrow.
The Arab press reports that the facilities for immigrants at the Athlit clearance camp are being enlarged to accommodate refugees from Cyprus. The camps on the island, built for 10,000 people, have been overcrowded for several months.
