Shouting “long live the Mufti,” a large mob of demonstrators clashed with the police in Alexandria last night following a meeting held in support of the Arabs in Palestine. The meeting was organized by the Arab Union ##ciation.The Arab League Committee, which includes the Premiers of Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and Transjordan and a three-man delegation from Palestine, met today in Beirut to discuss the question of Palestine, Two further meetings will be held before the week is over, an official announcement said.
