British destroyers tonight put out of Haifa harbor to intercept the blockade runners Paducah and Northlands which are said to be carrying about 3,600 visaless Jewish refugees to Palestine, it was reported here.

(In London the Foreign Office announced that a third refugee transport, the Pan Crescent, was proceeding in the Black Sea to pick up Jews in Balkan ports. A fourth craft, the Pan York, also suspected of blockade running, is reported to have passed through the Straits of Gibraltar bound for Marseille.)
