Congress should immediately enact legislation permitting the immigration of displaced persons, and the U.S. should take the lead in calling a conference of the IRO to set quotas for all countries, it is recommended today in the official report of the House Foreign Affairs sub-committee, which stu## problems in Europe this summer.
The committee, which was headed by Rep. James G. Fulton, Republican of Penn##, recommended approval by the U.N. of the admission to Palestine within the ## two years of 150,000 displaced Jews, declaring that this would virtually solve ## DP problem in Europe. It also called for the concentration of all Jewish ## Italy in a camp at Bagnoli, near Naples, which would place them close to ## which they could sail for Palestine.
