A French judge this week-end acquitted Maurice Zizac and gave suspended sentences of two and four months, respectively, to Stanislas Mejsner and Alexandre Isman, all alleged Irgunists, who were arrested several months ago on charges of possessing an extremist arms cache. The presiding judge, in pronouncing sentence, told the defendants: “The Jewish race deserves sympathy in its struggle for a homeland. Aside from the facts in this case, you have my sympathy.”
