Gen. Lucius D. Clay, commander of the U.S. zone in Germany, yesterday rejected appeals for mercy from Karl Brandt and S.S. Gen. Karl Gebhart, Hitler’s personal physicians, who were sentenced to death last August for the torture and murder of tens of thousands of Jews and others.
